This is a wonderful review, but it also underscores the increasingly close proximity all these DAPS have as far as their respective sound quality.  They're all reaching a pretty decent threshold.

Thanks for the review! Great review. I've been wondering about this DAP. DSD is the primary area where I'm interested in comparison, as not all the DAPs play it native. One thing, I think you can use a usb 2.0 micro on a usb 3.0 micro jack. It's worth a try to carry one less cable around, if that is important to you. I think I've done this with a portable hard-drive before.

Great review and well written. Very comprehensive and informative. Both the M2 and the N5 are very good daps and great value for money. The cover on the USB and SD card port is the only glaring mistake/oversight I can see on the N5. Otherwise I must concur with your findings. Bravo.
