Nice review. Thank you. I've had these about a week and treble could definitely be more energetic. It's not that what is there is bad, it decreases in volume too quickly and rolls off. It's a great IEM for most music and as you say bass and mids are really very nice. I bought this knowing the treble rolled of early because for a lot of my music the NS9 is really excellent, but as you say it's not for treble heads.......unless willing to equalise, because the NS9 does stand up to equalisation.

Yeah, the treble is way too safe on treble tuning. This is indeed a good set.. Reminds me of my Audio-Technica M30x with wider stage and better imaging. To think that this a good midcentric IEM. Thank you for your compliment, I really appreciate it.

Possibly, yeah. But as I said they are quite similar on the other IEMs that I have mention that share the design aesthetics. Inspired?.....maybe.

the sound you have describe on the NS9 I think I'm good with Dm8, I know it not comparable at its price range but I have set of similar tuning don't need to have a another in my collection.
