Great first review! Just a short question, what is a sound sig of "Erzetich Bacillus Tilia" amp? Just curious because I'm not sure how much of sound coloring is contributed by this amp vs Xelento actual sound sig.
Very glad someone is reviewing these. Seems to be very little info about this product. I am considering between this, or to go a step up in price (and hopefully sound) by getting the Noble Katana. Really undecided, because I am considering whether the Katana can double as studio konitors while I am away from my Adam A7Xes, since I am travelling so much these days, it would be invaluable to have a portable reference monitor for music production, and ultimately cheaper than having a separate headphone for music enjoyment. In any case if I'm going for enjoyment the Xelento seems like a great thing!
Ah choices, choices.
Can you comment on the build quality? Is it made of aluminum or some metal?
Good question Slankoe. I think the build quality is good but Campfire Audio IEMs may be the best built I've encountered. Don't know if it is plastic or aluminum. I'll be attending Axpona 2017 this weekend and plan to stop at the Beyer booth and will ask and then I'll post an answer. I'm really enjoying the Xelentos though. Today I listened to my lossless (ALAC) version of Fleetwood Mac's Rumors and I felt drawn into the music unlike any other IEM I've owned.
Please let us know what the guys at the booth say. Don't forget to ask!
And give em some mad love for those epic Tesla drivers. Listened to one of their open back over ears utilizing them. Stunning they are!
Will do. I really like their Tesla drivers too. Besides the Xelento, I'm a fan of the T1, T51p, and T90. I'll be interested to try the 2nd Gen T1 and T5p at Axpona.
