I agreeeee, but they do have a LITTLE bit of merit...they are better than your average $50 headphones that you can find in a normal department store. My biggest problem with these, build quality aside, was the almost total lack of treble...it was like, WHERE'S THE TREBLE THIS IS DISTURBING ALL OF MY TREBLE IS GONE and the mids were kind of yucky, though the bass wasn't all THAT bad, if not a bit flabby and fart cannon-y. They look cool, to some at least, though they're not really my style even in that department...
I'm pretty sure most people get these just because of a. how they look and b. everyone else has them, including a bunch of popular DJs (popular, not good).

Wow, another hater telling us what we already know. Dude, you don't have to hate beats to get "accepted" into the community, I mean c'mon this is head-fi, we actually know Sennheiser, Audio Technica, and (Bose?).

I'm what you guys at head fi call an "ignorant consumer" and I think these are terrible
