A little update - I used the supplied 4.4mm cable into my Fiio M23 and it was fantastic. 2m in length and no microphonics. Very nice cable and the pairing with the SRs and the M23 was simply excellent. The M23 is an amazing sounding Dap with it's abundance of power from the THX AAA 78 amp and the dual AK4191EQ AK4499EX Dac chips, and it really allowed the SR7000s to shine. I actually had less issue with mids (vocals in particular), so maybe the Burson Soloist has a little extra mid presence. Anyway, just wanted to share.

Nice test tracks. Van Halen definitely had their own way of recording. Vocals can be a bit spicy with their stuff. I always listen to I'll wait as one of my test songs.
