Probably more similar than different. The positioning of center and the shape of the stage is fairly different between the two though. The E3 try to mimic speakers with like a forward cone shape to the staging. While the Aune are a more familiar shape just with good spaciousness.
Hi,
Interesting review. It seems to rely on AUNE own FR graphs.
As your stating quite the opposite of other reviewers above, I wonder how dependent those are on how their placed on your head...
Me, I am fed up with headphones that have super high level of bass... which eats up everything else. Maybe they're good for someone like me ?
The pads don't have too much room for front and back movement, so the headphones position themselves in roughly the same spot each time. Also they weren't too sensitive to that small positioning either.
If you don't like bass these are great. They extend deeply into the bass but it's a very light and delicate punch with minimal rumble. Most of your attention gets focused on the mids and treble area with these headphones, as thats what stands out the most.
Their graphs make it look like it would bass heavy, but its a bit misleading. They only extend into the bass as deeply as the graph shows but without the quantity or punch that you'd assume would also be there with that kind of graph. Some reviewers of the AR5000 had similar experiences, so it's not surprising the SR7000 shares some of that.
