Hi BassAmpd,
I've not had a chance to hear the oh10 but read quite a bit, from what I'd read the oh10's likely got more bass rumble, maybe a bit more 'texture' in the lower frequencies whereas the AQ3's got tighter bass and more extension and detail on the highs.
Audiosense updated that the AQ3's got an active electronic crossover taken from Sony which might explain such a seemless transition with perhaps a more neutral tuning. It's the best alrounder I've had genre wise (also movies/games) and has enough bass for my tastes but if your mostly listening to eg edm I'd suggest the Ikko oh10's
True, true i've been looking more towards to oh10's. I might pick up the aq3's or 800's later. Overall thanks for cohesive and much needed review, cheers!
Hi Rprodrgues, I've not heard the Spring 1 and only seen 1 review, I'd imagine it would have a slightly different signiture utilising a Piezo Driver. All I can say is any other reviews/impressions of the AQ3's been resoundingly positive rating as punching above its weight even by chifi standards
FYI, it is impossible for any IEM that uses a conventional headphone connector to have an active crossover. An active crossover would require a separate power supply in addition to the signal coming from the source.
