For 100 more, there is very good 'powerful' and really 'clean' iFi Micro iDSD (can be considered as portable) and some other.

Well, I prefer sound of DX1 more. Also, $100 is a worth economy. And I prefer desktop device without accumulator, so I don't have to worry about it's health.

NuPrime is 3 times the price of the DX1, how close does the SQ of DX1 get?

I think there is no way to measure this. DX1 is good, but DAC-10H is definitely much better in almost any field
