lcd5 is a high end headphone as such requires a high end source to get the full potential of what it’s truely capable of. No disrespect intended but source system is just not good enough to reveal the capability of the LCD5. Low/mid tier systems cannot do the trick as all you will be getting are the limitations of your source. You would need to try at least a Hugo 2, TT2 or something on a similar level.

I used the Weiss DAC in my review. Which is a $10k DAC/amp. It just wasn’t quite my taste on stock tuning. Doing EQ made the headphone sound great though.
