By far the best Audeze ever made, but no longer available

Excellent headphone but only when EQed.

very nice headphone... I have a feeling I may have gotten the last pair they made... got mine in November 23... its one of my favorite headphones

Why do a review on an unobtainable headphone? We needed this review way back in 2019!

@Exekuhtor, two tips:

1. If you combine the LCD-4 with the Dekoni nuggets, weight will be no problem anymore.

2. If you have the chance to try the official Audeze EQ preset for LCD-4 in Roon, sound will become far more clear.

I wonder if the LCD-4z is similar or almost as good, or is it not worth getting.

LCD-4z is lighter and more power-efficient, but for sure it cannot provide such a huge sound experience as the LCD-4.
Also LCD-4z has an issue with very tight mini-xlr connectors. If you connect a cable with Rean connectors, you may have big trouble unplugging it.
Audeze has decided to turn to lighter and more efficient Headphones with faster bass, and also advertizes LCD-4z as an improved version of LCD-4 but this is not the case.
I hope that in the future they will offer a real improved version of LCD-4, although this is not likely.
It seems that they have decided to leave behind their traditional house sound in their latest flagships.
