Yeah fully agree with the crowd here, well done. Much like you I was never interested of the AK daps because of their ridiculous prices. This looks intriguing .

Thank you for the review. Wonderful job!
Can you please share if the hiss is audible with the Dunu DN2000j?
Thank you.

wow thats a review and a half right there.

Thanks All!
@silvahr practically ignorable, very very difficult to hear the hiss on DN-2000J, only when you're in a very quiet room, playing silent track. Practically AK70 is quiet for DN-2000J.

silvahr
Thank you @earfonia. Keep going with the good work!

Thank you for the great review. Can you briefly compare AK70 to I5 as far as you can recall? Of all my players I5 is the only the reminds me how my old Iriver E10 sounded. I wonder if AK70 is similar. Thanks again.

So happy that DX90 is still hanging

As always, very impressive review.

Thanks guys!
@hung031086 I only tried QP1R for a very short time, but from what I remember and from friends opinions, QP1R is better in overall SQ.
@Soundtrap I wish to have more time with i5, so only from short period of test, Cayin i5 probably more neutral sounding, with good holographic imaging that from that short comparison, could probably be better than AK70. But i5 has advantage of analog volume control for native DSD playback. And the DSD playback on i5 is truly awesome. So if you're into DSD, Cayin i5 is the better option.

Hi,
Whats the A/B Switch in this picture?

Also whats your advice on connecting AK300 to a Centrance Hifi M8 USB rather than using the LX Version?
Thanks

@MaximoP51 The AB switch is a DIY switch, I made it. I don't understand your 2nd question regarding the Centrance Hifi M8.

Hi - have you had a chance to have more time with the i5 yet to compare this against the AK70 in any more detail ? Aside from the awesome DSD playback that you mention (which I don't personally use), how do they stack up against each other in all other aspects ?
