. I haven't tried the D1 but I know a guy who has (Dalethorn), he seems to really like it over the E17. I feel similarly about the rPAC against the E17 but neither of us have tried all 3 so I could only speculate.
Do you need the DAC/amp to be portable, do you mind if it runs off of mains power? If so you could go for the Yulong U100, I really liked that one, and the warmer sounding Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2D. But if it's portability you want I was just looking at the new Matrix one, a bit more expensive but also runs from batteries like the Fiio.

Have you heard the Audioengine D1? Is the rpac's sound quality considerably better?
