I'm currently testing these headphones and as good as they sound for the price tag, I can't get over how tight they feel (and in a bad way). It's sad because the cushions of the ear cups are soft and really comfortable but the headband clamps the ears so much that pain doesn't take long to appear. That said, I agree with @presata about the bass but I don't feel like it is that much bass heavy. The soundstage is pretty decent too. I was excepting more of a DJ sound signature but ended listening to something more elaborated. The softness in the higher range particularly appeals to me.

Do you (or Jean Corriveau) think the clamping force can be eased up with stretching? I am thinking of getting them for gym use, so really will only use them for about 2 hrs a day. Comfort is pretty important to me. I would say I have a somewhat large-ish melon, but not overly so. 

Hmm, that is a very good question. I wore them for approximately 8 hours (not in a row obviously since the clamping force would have given me the worst headache ever). I honestly don't know if the pressure would lighten up after several hours of usage. Maybe trying to keep them streched artificially with something a little bit wider than your head could help out but I can't garantee you. I thing is sure, if it was not for the lack of comfort, they would be a bargain. if your interested in reading my review, here's the link.
