I don't believe a word of this review.

I'll second this. Even when switching between the Heir 4 Ai S (which is upper-mids and treble based) I don't hear any stuffiness.

There's a problem on your end.

I'm not sure if I would call it stuffiness. And looking back at it and listening to them again, I think my metaphor for what the highs sound like isn't 100% accurate. The sound as a whole is decent, but in my opinion, the sound stage is small. What I'm trying to say in my review is that something about the highs just sounds wrong to me, and its hard to describe exactly what it is. And if you are like me and you are used to an RHA MA750i or the Dunu 2000J, you might be underwhelmed by the audio quality of the 1MORE.

I can assure you that there is no problem on my end: I tried multiple source devices that are known to work well with other IEM's, and I always use full quality FLAC files when testing.

I know I wrote a really harsh review on these, and honestly, when I listened to them over long periods of time and got used to them, they were quite nice. But from my perspective, I just wasn't satisfied with the highs compared to other IEM's and I felt it was worth noting in a review.

I agree with this review.  I would describe these IEMs as an incredible entry level purchase for any new audiophile looking for something better than stock earbuds.  Incredibly good value for what they are.

For what it's worth, my own experience of the Triples doesn't really match yours; OTOH it's likely that my own music preferences (mostly Indian classical, some jazz) mean that I'm listening to very different stuff than most others on Head-Fi. For me, these do a very nice job on sitars and sarod, both of which (especially sitar) have a lot of high frequencies in their tone color. The Triples also sound good on tabla - plenty of "oomph" but still focused.

I'm not sure about your theory regarding driver placement - although I'm not an audio engineer, it seems to me that the distances involved shouldn't be sufficient to make any difference in how the drivers work together.

Regarding comparisons, I'm afraid that I haven't had a chance to try any of the really expensive stuff. If anyone wants to buy me some real audiophile 'phones, I'll be happy to offer an opinion in exchange! <g>
