I use PS Power Plant and switching power cable to LF made subtle improvements only. I find shielding the wireless router, AC filtering the PC, and moving the hard disks outside of my PC made more noticeable improvement than tube rolling.

I would love to have LCD-3 with LF because with LCD-2 it's already very good. I just have to save more for LCD-3. With more tweaks, the sound stage is outside my head.  With Buena Vista download from HD-tracks, it feels like the singer is in the middle with the band forming a circle around him...

Saying that I like them is an understatement. It would be insane to buy LF and not switching to these tubes. They improve sound over JJ in almost every aspect, sound has more body, weightier bass, liquid voice, clarity in highs. and even sound stage. Voices of the choirs in Carmina Burana are...

My tubes Gold Lion arrived. Not fully burn in yet but sounds very promising. Seems like it's worth the $ to upgrade. Thanks for recommendations on this site.

In my stash of tubes since the earlier days, I found 2 Mullards 12AX7, new. Is it advisable to replace just 2 tubes to see the difference? If so, which tubes in the amp that I can replace? thanks.

Sorry for being off-topic here. For me, USB does not work as well as SPDIF via Asus Essence PCI-X card.  SPDIF wins hands down with much quieter and transparency. It could be USB implementation of my PC is poor.   Quote:

Prior to LF, my amp is HeadRoom Max. It is actually a very good amp. Really dynamic, powerful and very resolving and smooth for a SS .... Well, LF is like a fine wine. Once tasting it, it's so difficult to go back to the lesser one. LF is transparent, totally quiet, and resolves details even...

Thanks for the caution as I was actually pondering the buy. Nevertheless,  I would stick with JJ tubes for now. The changes overnight were so positive ...  

For now, just above average. LF opens up and bass gets heftier after overnight burn-in. This is going to be an amazing amp.    Quote:

Yes, I use JJ as shipped. I understand new tubes sound thin -- I used to have ARC tube power amp and CJ tube pre-amps. Does tube burn-in improve weight of bass?  

Hi, how does LF sound transform after 200 hour burn-in? The sound is a bit thin (expected) but the bass is lacking. My other headphone amp is Headroom Max and headphones are LCD-2 r2. HeadroomMax does not resolve details as well as LF but it delivers gut wrenching bass. Did I miss anything...
