    Beyer pads on RX700

A simple question: can I put beyer pads on the RX700 without using superglue/tape? I just found out that you could put the pads on the MAudio Q40 so I was curious. I also want to see what velour feels like =)

Help with a limited budget, please?

1+ for the RX700, I've lurked around this forum for a while and theyre renowned as one of the best budget cans available. They have excellent bass and theyre comfortable, though they can get sweaty (since theyre closed).

    Upgrade for my JVC RX700

@RallyMaster I've replaced the earpads and removed the felt already, gonna do the Dynamat as soon as I can get my hands on some How do your DX3 in your sig compare to the RX700? I'm thinking of getting a Nuforce uDAC as a dac/amp (currently running out of laptop), but it seems silly to buy...

[Impression] FiiO E7 (warning: lot of pics!!!)

ClieOS, I found out that you reviewed the ad700 a while ago. I'm thinking of getting the E7 mostly because I'm stuck with a laptop sound card right now, but also because the bass boost might help bring some more bass and warmth to my ad700. Would you say that the E7 goes well with the ad700?

    Upgrade for my JVC RX700

I bought the AD700 (they were cheap) like a month ago but the rx700 still sounded a lot better. The AD700 sounded very airy and had an excellent soundstage, but I mostly listen to rock and techno music. - these two things don't synergize for me very well. I missed the bass of the rx700 and the...

I have $150 in my pocket.

I read that the aurvana live is just the D1001 with slightly different cups. Any other suggestions?

I have $150 in my pocket.

I need help. I've the JVC RX700 and Audio Technica AD700. I bought the AD700 a couple months after the RX700, and after listening to them for a couple weeks I've realized that despite the AMAZING soundstage and comfort of the AD700 the RX700 simply sound better. Sound quality: The AD700 has...

    Headphone Stores?

Well, I just got my driving license and I have ~$400 to spend. I live in the Bay Area in California (more specifically, Fremont) and I'd love to go try out some headphones instead of going by recommendations. Basically, anyone know stores nearby where I can listen to some decent headphones...

    D1001? circum/supra

So it just depends on the person? Odd, but I guess I'll just buy them and see.

    D1001? circum/supra

Quick question, is the Denon D1001 circumaural or supraaural? On headroom it's supraaural, but I've been looking around the forums and it's been listed by many as circumaural. Thanks for clearing this up

    New amp or cans?

I bought a "cheap" pair of phones a couple months ago (JVC HARX900) and...I need to upgrade I'm currently trying to decide between the Denon D2000 or Beyer DT770, but then I read about amps and now the choice is harder. So here's what I wanted to ask - would I be better off buying one of the...

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?

How hot do these cans get? Like, painfully or pleasantly warm?

    Need ~$60 headphones

I can't say for sure that the Grado's are going to be uncomfortable, but I can't stand IEM/earbuds at all (the ones I've tried at least), so...it's a risk I'll take. I heard there's ways to mod the pads to make them feel more comfortable anyways, so I'm not very concerned. I'm okay with open...

    Need ~$60 headphones

I know there's a search function for "cheap" headphones, and mostly what I've seen are Grado recommendations. I'm thinking of the SR60, or I can wait a week or two for money to get the MS1. However, I listen to a lot of stuff, like orchestral, rock, jazz, hip-hop, piano, electric, pop...I'm also...
