Headphones for TV -- Need some help
This may be a very uninteresting topic for most of you, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a good open headphone or ear bud system for listening to TV. My dad is almost 80, and he has lost a lot of response in the upper mid-range and highs and also he has to play at a loud volume to hear...- Endzone

Got a speeding ticket... need advice (NY)
Man NY is brutal on that. In Dallas, Texas (where I lived for almost 3 decades) you just pay a ticket lawyer $40 to defend it. Then, about a year later the lawyer tells you that you must pay courts costs and you get probation for one to six months and that is the end of it.- Endzone

Anyone have advice about computer video cards?
I have a nice computer (bought in March 2008) and a Sony G410 CRT monitor. But, my eyes are starting to hurt after installing a Nvidia GeForce 8500 video card about the same time I bought the computer. I don't ever play games, so really I should not have bought the Nvidia card--paid almost $100...- Endzone

Head-fi Demographics
I'm 52, so I'm old enough to remember that the best pair of headphones I ever owned in my life were Koss Phase II that came out in 1974. I bought them at Swallens in Cincinnati for $50 which was some serious cash back then. I remember listening to We Don't Get Fooled Again using the headhpones...- Endzone

Another Math Question
A car is driving along a road and begins to go up a hill that is perfectly symetric and exactly 1 mile long from start to finish. If the car averages 30MPH up the first 1/2 mile of the hill, what must be its average downhill speed in order to average 60MPH for the entire mile? INCORRECT...- Endzone

Help finding a headphone that's right for me!
Michielster I've been asking the same question you are for the past month on these boards. And my conclusion is that there isn't a product on the market right now that is right--not even in the <$100 category. A headphone that would have at least worked for you was the Sony MDR-D66 Eggo, but...- Endzone

PX 100, AKG 501s, and...
Don't get the Senn PX-200. I listened to them at Magnolia HiFi here in Seattle the other night and they sound artificial to me. The best I've ever used is the Sony MDR-D66, but unfortunately they don't make them anymore. I like a headphone that has good midrange and good highs, but weaker on...- Endzone
