I remember cranking the dial with my dt-770 80 ohm a couple of times within the first two days. I never go above 11 or 12 on any recording now.

The one you mention is $220 while the Compass is $258 and FAR superior in every way. The $258 for the Compass is also an introductory price that is pretty much the cost of parts and labor only. At the end of May they will go to full price which many think will be over $400.
