Today I thought it was time to resurrect my 7-8 month stagnent B22 build and check it plays music OK with no funny noises or problems before picking up the project again and ordering the other (mirror) backplane (design already done) for the other 3 channels.. Only tested with a cheapo...- jazzist

β24: A discrete, cascoded, fully-differential power amplifier
Looking very good, like the CAD work. Hope to start thinking about β24 one day, will be a good match for my β22 I'm currently building. Probably going with Hi-Fi 2000 as well, very impressed with them.- jazzist

Inkscape for HPGL for FPE methods
Dear All, Is anyone using Inkscape for FPE, what method are you using to create the HPGL? I have done save as EPS, then used GSVIEW to create the plt file. This seems to work quite well. Another method is to use a nightly build of Inkscape as 0.47 includes HPGL output (but mirrors the...- jazzist

Creative Zen Or Sony A818 8gb, what to take
Just got my NWZ-A818 (going to have to think of a better name for it!) and took this because the 'free' speakers/dock/remote are rather big, heavy, and good looking from the outside:- jazzist

I Need a Ripping Master Plan for My Zen AND Ipod Nano
You could have two directories, one with the albums in FLAC (ripped with EAC) for listening on your PC, and another with the albums in MP3 (encoded from the FLAC sources) in, say, 320 kbps VBR (I haven't read much about what MP3 bit-rates and techniques are best so I don't know if this is a good...- jazzist

Best Portable Rig For Less Than $3K??
I wonder if the Cowon D3 supports USB DACs/Sound Cards? It's running a version of Windows and has USB host support, it's a long shot... but would be nice?- jazzist

Meier-Audio Interconnects
I just ordered two pairs of these. I hope they are still considered as good as they were 4 years ago! I paid 90 euro per cable as I bought an Opera last week. TBH I wasn't sure what to do and plumped for the same brand as the amp. There are far to many cables out there to be able to make a...- jazzist
