You could also try aftermarket pads. I like the Dekoni perforated leather pads on the HD600, they keep a great balance with deeper bass (however I think that perforations generally also alter the soundstage and presence of a headphone in a bad way).

The Epros are even better if you manage to get a good fit. They're famous for taming the highs. I like the Sennheiser too because they're as comfy as the Spiral dots and have a smoother tonality and timbre (probably because they have an additional foam filter inside).
