The Iriver SlimX – Couldn’t Resist
I have the iRiver2 and the battery life is fine. I never tested exactly how many hours each battery lasts, but I never seem to have a problem with it. I always carry a spare (I use those ni-hd recharacbles from rayovac.. ). The sound quality is awesome. 25/40 is the loudest I go and that is loud...- eru

EX-70 stuff
I find that the EX70(SL)'s play dance/techno music fine. Sometimes when listening rock songs, the treble gets a bit too loud for my tastes, however, mine are burned in and I am using no mods. -eru- eru

you're getting it for a good price. On a slanted note, I just got my bill from mpwiz.com today -- $226.25 -- where did that $1.25 come from? oh well -eru- eru

IRiver iMP250 and RioVolt SP250
Not only does RioVolt not come with an LCD remote, it also comes with a pretty mediocre carrying case compared to that of the iRiver. For starters, there is no place to store the remote or headphones on the RioVolt while there is a convienient mesh pouch in the iRiver one to store things. -eru- eru

IRiver iMP250 and RioVolt SP250
yup, so far it has Tetris and Snakybyte (similar to Nibbles for a Ti83-84,etc.). Pretty good games and when you have nothing to do besides listening to music, then maybe you can play them! -eru- eru

IRiver iMP250 and RioVolt SP250
There are differences: Why iRiver is a better choice: Better color scheme, better carrying case, better included earbuds (they look really nice and sound OK, but most people on this board have their own pair of better headphones anyway), it gets firmware updates weeks before RioVolt, it...- eru

Sony mp3/cd d-cjo1 owner reviews...
The more and more I am seeing this Sony MP3/CD Player, the uglier it is getting. From the screenshots I saw at http://www.digitalformula.com/sony_d-cj01/ , it seems like the player is pretty thick for a sony (about as thick as an iRiver2 methinks). The features are lacking all over the place --...- eru

if money isn't an issue then everyone on this board will most likely agree that the ety's are for you. They cost in the high $200 area I believe (maybe even low $300). If you changed your mind about your budget, then the Sony EX70's (for higher bass/dance music) or the Sony 888's (for the other...- eru

Iriver2 - a mini review
I have had my iRiver2 for about a month now. Most of my songs are encoded in 192Kpbs. The last sony CD Player I had was so old that it did not have anti-skip (around 1995-6) so I can't comment on how good iRiver2 is compared to sony however, iRiver2 i can say, is lightyears ahead of sony's...- eru

Iriver2 - a mini review
Comments on your minus points Bulky - it's a bit thick, but considering that I ALWAYS keep it in the carrying case, it's not a problem. Anti-Skip - I have never encountered it skipping (I do in-house exercising (no cd player bouncing)) Construction - Feels fine to me. It is the best...- eru

When is the iriver 350 coming out? Is it worth the wait?
iRiver3 comes out mid to late december.. most likely before XMAS.. MSRP = $200 It is a lot better than the sony though I think the iriver2 looks better... iriver3 has larger remote.. but it is uglier.. The actual cd player on the iriver3 though is only 16 milimeters thick compared to the...- eru

what's the point of having an optical out on a mp3 cd player anyway? They beat the hell out of minidiscs... the only reason I can see for having one is if a friend who has a minidisc wants one of the songs on your cd. -eru- eru
