I would not want to make a good seal with IE series though. It is the best way to enjoy Ie8 IMO since everyone know that IE series have warm signature sound. If you want more bass just turn the bass knob up but not a good seal give you better high and soundstage.

For some reason, we dont have that kind of discount in Australia. Hence the only choice to get good price is to import from other countries. I would not be suprised if the A84x really come out the market on australia, it will still cost at least 100aud more than import. And the good thing for...

yea, I loved my IE7, but with IE series, you need to choose a right eartip for yourself cuz it is different people to people. But as I said, IE7 is not a bad choice if you really want something with good mid and bass.

You may give a look at jvc-fx500, they are 138USD and currently one of the best bang of the buck IEM. Solid bass with and extend high if that what you are looking for. I own IE7 so i know it has good bass, wonder mid but with a laid back high 199USD now if you order on amazon.

I agreed with Squid. Some of the headfier here got their IE8 from advancemp3, and they are only 178 GBP shipped to Australia. And of course if you check advance mp3 is also a UK sennheiser dealer. Just because in US, the dealers dont want to reduce to price doesnt mean other are fake.

We would all want only to purchase a genuine product because we want to honor the work of the original manufacturer. But we are still buyer which means we all want to get the cheapest price as possible for that for that product. If somehow , Sennheiser somehow help us to identify the genuine...

I dont know but I think whether or not we buy from authorized dealer, if it is genuine, it is still there product and warranty for us unless they show us that they are not genuine.

there is some IE8 on sale on ebay.co.uk as well, and its price is 145 poud. Is it too good to be true? Maybe I should stick with the traditional way >.<

we dont have any importation tax in Aus as long as the price is less than 1k so yea, it would save alot to import in Aus especially when AUD is high now

You should just call the service and spare part of sony aus, they will give you a quote for each pair and then you can make the payment. while expensive for a pair of tips but they worth it. Just make sure you know which size you need.

The FX500 sounds like my old ex-90lp then, bright and excitable. Hmm to tell the truth, the ex-90lp wth my sony A818 sometimes sound better than my IE7 with the A818 (probs both of them are too warm). One more question, is the high of IE8 better than IE7? I dont think i need more bass than IE7...
