Shanling M0 Pro - Ultra-Portable Hi-Fi Player, Now With Balanced Output!

I'm guessing your new OS doesn't have a play once or cue capability where playing stops after every song until I hit play again. I so wish Cowon would compete in this tiny player market. Only ones that get it. And of course no decent belt clip case. Had to epoxy an acro clip to my M0. The...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Ha.. No. My point was, at its best, SBC is not really far behind regular aptx. SBC caps out at 328kbs. Aptx goes to 352kbs. Not the greatest leap. So if they're using SBC to its fullest and using quality drivers then they can sound better than aptxHD on buds with worse dricers/tuning so to...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Do you or anyone have the SBC specs for the 10's? I K ow SBC is much more capable and for some God awful reason everyone has dumbed it down to where it sounds like crap. So if KZ is gojng to use it and hype it up, I'd like to see the specs to compare. In the meantime, I just bought the TRN BT30...

    TRN impressions thread

Just bought the BT30 and the KZ ZS10pro. Hope it's a good combo. Started reading how people who thought their old triple-fi's were the crap got a rude awakening trying some of these newer chi-fi multi driver IEM's. For $90, why not. Might see if I can sell my triple fi's if the zs10's are that...

Thanks. Don't have any newer IEM's, but I haven't used my old triple-fi's in years and thought it'd be fun to breathe new life into them. God forbid it gets me to try some new ones.

For people worried about water resistance, I start my gym time in the sauna for 20min or so. Usually dripping sweat by then. Also means I'm sweating quick once I start my workout. Can feel the sweat dripping down inside the buds & over. 3 workouts in & no issues. I need to measure the nozzle...

Any recommendations on foam tips for these? For all the different foam tips I own, they're all for larger nozzles.

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

So I'm guessing that's a no on both. Might have to look at the Unihertz Jelly 2. About as tiny as a phone gets, can use the android music apps, has a card slot and sits well at the waist for working out. Shame Palm didn't put a card slot on their new mini phone. I bet if LG would've made a...

    HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player

Question for you owners. I saw mention of the resume feature above. I'm trying to find out if this is like a "play once" feature where I can play a song in a Playlist or album and it will stop after the track until I hit play to start the next track. Cowon and creative players have/had it. It's...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Thanks. Didn't even realize I had the lock screen on. And the double/triple should work well. App wise, I meant more of the music organization, Playlist creation and so forth. Thought that was the plan early on, and it was just taking longer to get up and running. Along those lines, did a...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

So trying to verify here. To do anything, track wise, while music is playing and the screen is off, I have to... 1. press the button 2. swipe right on the screen 3. tap the screen 4. and then finally get to skip or go back. Is there a much quicker way to do this? And did we every get a full...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I'm fine with how the UI is for the most part. Sure they could take better advantage of the wheel, but it's still better than others out there. The Fio competitor apparently has worse US. And it's just a small waterproof case I popped some acco clips on to clip to my goggles. Also have the H2o...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

The companion app is for the phone like their previous players that were Hiby based. And it was one of the reasons many bought into it. Sadly it's pure vaporware outside of a neutered version for the China market. My M0 has a thick layer of dust as it sits and waits. I've been using my iconX's...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

The app was mentioned from the get go. They just had no set time frame for its release. Then it was, we have a beta, but it's for the China market for whatever they like to do with it. I don't remember. And then (the other day), we finally have the feature set for it, and it's off to the design...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

And outside of some shuffling or switching for a teleconference, the need for an outboard DAC for a conference call is necessary why? Are you saying you can't understand the speaker with the device's built in bluetooth or even corded? And granted there's always situations where there isn't a...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Damn straight. Maybe you want to live in a disposable world. Maybe you're fine with companies abandoning their devices after a couple years. Sorry, I don't share that sentiment. It's a disposable way of thinking. This OS didn't even exist in a commercial product until this was introduced last...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Well this isn't a phone. This is a very specific device as you've been quick to point out in the past (especially when people have asked for certain features.) And android is a rather mature OS at this point. Yours? Not so much. And as you also have pointed out, you cater quite a bit to a...

Older devices? It's a year old and still in its infancy with a brand new in house homegrown OS. They better have updates for the next three years easy. And the phone app hasn't even dropped yet.

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Was usb out meant to work that way on a m0? Like would Usb-c headphones work with the M0? I don't think or remember reading or seeing anything about analog audio out via USB. And why use Usb-c when you can just use the headphone jack?

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I know... That was my point. You had a great app to reference... Hence I found it odd that after 15 months it's still in the planning phase. Like if this app were the first of its kind, I could see the long planning stage, but you had a very nice one to reference off of from the get go and...

Shanling UP4 & UP2 - Bluetooth 5.0 DAC/AMP with ES9218P, balanced output, supporting LDAC, HWA LHDC, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX and AAC.

Wonder how it will compare with the Amplify on IGG that uses the AK4376 DAC. Think Fiio uses it in their similar amp. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/amplify-the-ultimate-wireless-headphone-amplifier/x/10074859#/

So over a year to just get an idea of what it should be, and now the software team will start working on it? Because you already didn't have an existing app, and a fairly decent one at that, from your previous partner to go off of as a prototype?

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Keep in mind QCY isn't really making a quality product. It's the bottom of the barrel chipset, most likely Airoha. Comes with all the issues most cheap China buds come with. I could've picked up a pair for $10 during the Chinese new year.
