    AD700 vs HD 595

Hey, While on amazon.com the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 costs the same as the Sennheiser HD 555 (both around $105), their price here is much closer to the Sennheiser HD 595 (both around €150). Since I haven't found any comparisons, I thought I would simply ask if anyone heard those two...

HD555 vs AD700 at Current Prices

Hello, I saw in your signature that you've both heard the Sennheiser HD 595 and the Audio-Technica AD700. Which do you like best for electronic music? My current HD 435 has too much bass, but I'm a bit concerned the AD700 will have too little. Kind regards, Stijn

Review: Audio Technica AD700 'Air' (Comparison to HD580 included)

I mainly listen to dance and trance, so I'm a bit worried about the described lack of bass. I have to note though, that my current Sennheiser HD 435 has far too much bass (I have to turn it down on the equalizer). Would the Sennheiser HD 595 be a better choice (unamped)? Their prices are very...

    Ibasso D2 Boa . . . new and smaller . . . with updates on 1st page. .

I think this is a simple question, but I haven't found the answer to it (yet). I was wondering if I need to run the iBasso D2 Boa from the battery, or if I could simply plug it in a powered USB-port and run it without using the battery? That way I could use it as a regular desktop amp.

What portable amp to get for Sennheiser 555?

Since I may be buying the HD 555 or HD 595 I'm also interested in a cheap amp that would benefit the sound quality.

replacing stereo with monitors or headphones

I've finally decided I don't want to spend that much on speakers. Considering my budget, I'm now looking if a pair of headphones would give me more value for my money.

    open headphones under €150

Hey, I currently own a Sennheiser HD 435 but I'm looking for an upgrade. Most of the time I listen to dance, trance and progressive but also Bloc Party. The HD 435's are supra-aural, but I think circum-aural would be more comfortable. Since they'll be used indoors I'm looking for open...

replacing stereo with monitors or headphones

Thanks for the tip! The Nuforce Icon seems very nice, although the 2x 12W output seems a bit out of place. I think I'll need to do some reading on soundcards, DACs and (T-class) amplifiers to fully understand it though .

replacing stereo with monitors or headphones

The soundcard is an external one, so there shouldn't be any electrical noise. Is there a pair of active monitors under €200 which you would recommend? By the way, I thought soundcards included a DAC so I wouldn't need an external one.

replacing stereo with monitors or headphones

Hey all, I have a few questions to ask. My stereo (Philips FW-M777) recently lost a woofer which cannot be replaced. Now I'm considering to buy a pair of low-end monitors such as the Edirol MA-15D. Other speakers I'm considering are the Alesis M1 Active 520, BehringerMS-40, Creative...
