Best place for inexpensive flexible cable (Re-cabling Denon D2000)
Will build from scratch. Thanks. I might buy that actually. I can't seem to find anywhere that has something to reinforce the y-split. A local computer store sells cable pants but they only come in packs of 4 for $36! I might end up ordering the mogami cable locally and the y splitter from...- m0b1liz3

Best place for inexpensive flexible cable (Re-cabling Denon D2000)
Yes. But it is hard to figure out which seller is good. I want something more flexible but not with micron thin wiring.- m0b1liz3

Best place for inexpensive flexible cable (Re-cabling Denon D2000)
Hi, I found a few old posts that suggested parts-express but I am currently living in NZ. Somewhere from Asia might be better. I looked at Penon but they just seem to have pre-made cables more designed for smaller IEMs. Any suggestions?- m0b1liz3

How did you get it out? Mine wont budge. I heated it up with a solder iron and tried to tap it out. Did you end up needing a drill?- m0b1liz3

Denon D2000 / AKG drivers?
I had a sudden thought the other day about what I would do if the drivers died in my D2000s. AKG makes a newer version of essentially the same design right? Has anyone ever managed to source replacement drivers?- m0b1liz3

Samsung S10
Just thought I would chime in my generalised opinions on the S10. I just went from an old S7 Edge to the S10 and found the audio quality was an overall step down with the S10. I don't use portable amps or Bluetooth hps. I just read through the posts on here and thought there would be more...- m0b1liz3

Current small player with physical buttons and display screen? (Not clip jam)
So my Sansa Clip Zip died and I replaced it with a Shanling M0. I found the lack of a proper EQ on the M0 meant that despite supposedly having better audio quality, it sounds worse than my Clip did. The touch screen also doesn't work well. I looked at getting a replacement sansa Clip online...- m0b1liz3

Ok, will try to pick up some Deoxit. Turns out the methanol is no where to be found. Hopefully the DeOxit does the trick. I don't really want to buy new HPs at this point.- m0b1liz3

Doesn't that assume the problem developed over time? This has been an issue since purchase and reproducible with different cables. I don't have any DeOxit on hand but might use some 100% methanol I have for cleaning circuit boards.- m0b1liz3

Anything you recommend that would compare to the Rose Aurora? I like the level of bass and smooth treble but the constant scratchy mmcx connection issue drives me nuts.- m0b1liz3

Sansa Clip clip DIY replacement?
My original clip broke on my sansa clip. They don't sell replacements any more but I was trying to think of something readily available that I could just crazy glue to the back. Anyone have suggestions? Not sure where I could find a simple clip.- m0b1liz3

Rose Technology Discussion & Impressions Thread
Have you tried a new cable? I have an issue with mine as well. It stays together but looses connectivity with tons of static. I am constantly adjusting it. It is likely due to a fault on the earbud side since replacement cables make no difference. I still haven't contacted Rose about it...- m0b1liz3

Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150
I might look into it. Only 30 if you live in US. But I am in Canada. I read that the AGPtEK M20S can not have rockbox installed which was an advantage with the Sansa Clip. The M20S also looks about 2x the size of the clip.- m0b1liz3

AGPtEK M20S is better sound quality than the Sansa clip? I still have 2 older clips that I use in the gym.- m0b1liz3

Where can I get a silver plated cable without spending too much? Exchange rate and shipping kills it for small items. I just got new pads for my Denon D2000s. Will end up close to $80 Canadian despite the massdrop discount and I still need to sort out a headband.- m0b1liz3

I have had my Rose Auroras for a few days now. I am not as experienced at reviews but I will post what I found. Sound: Bass is present but a little too boomy for my tastes. Mids and lower treble seem to be where the detail is. Overall warm signature with some treble roll off. Good for...- m0b1liz3

Cayin N3 Hi-Res DAP with AKM4490 DAC, apt-X Bluetooth, and Line, USB & Coax Out for $150

Just thinking that I could have it plugged into the home stereo that way and benefit from the bluetooth remote function while not loosing any quality due...- m0b1liz3

Just ordered the aurora based on the limited reviews. My old yam eph100s died and was looking for something with ample bass and non fatiguing treble while retaining detail. The description sounds pretty good so I hope they live up to their reputation.- m0b1liz3

You are probably right but a few of the other companies are participating on this forum. I have seen a few posts now where people had X3s die shortly after purchase. The other issue is some stores will not accept returns. Won't use tomtop again.- m0b1liz3

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD
Not sure how critical bluetooth is but usb dac function was appealing. What is the zishan one u are considering? (Actorlife) I think I will need a more powerful amp then the M1. 35mW would be noticeable coming from X3 at over 10mW. Caiyin N3 sounds interesting too.- m0b1liz3
