I see you using an iPod. IMO, adjust the EQ on your iPod, set it to Electronic, Rock or Jazz. They all pretty much boost the bass while adjusting the high roll-off issue. Some people don't like EQing(at least on iPods), But I feel it does more good than bad.

I'm not so certain on sa6's build quality. You can consider those IE 8/IE 7 if you are in EU. You can get them cheap

among the three you mentioned, I only heard se310. In those single driver models, X10 seems to be the best from people's posts. And I think the 5 out of 5 is just headroom's opinion. I find them pretty decent, but not excellent. Be careful those se310s are not very durable IMO.

I'll say W3 beats se530. And pretty much is all you are looking for. And se530's cable is not that crap though I won't say it's good.(cable split is history for most)

Only heard um2 among the ones you've mentioned. um2 is a very warm set of earphones with a lot of warm bass, and rolled off highs. It's not flat sounding at all since it has a lot bass and yummy midrange(VERY much like the se530 on the midrange) and note that um2 respond well well to eq...

If you want to upgrade to yet another IEM, custom seems the way to go. UE10 UE11 and the new Wesone ES3x all win praises. yet they are pretty expensive.

different series just indicates the hole size. if your ear canal is really narrow, go for the short version, you'll be fine.

9 month for se530 is a long time. My first one dead in 3 month. Remember to ask shure for a recent production model(after they fixed the problem) Their new cable works fine for me. Hasn't gone stiff till today!

there are third party upgrade cables for ue models. try to find a dealer that sells them. They are better than the UE stock cables in terms of SQ, well, most of them are. My SF5 pro's cable's "J" plug dead once, and I bought a new one from a chinese vendor. P.S. Recable them using Westone...

It's not practical. It's silly to carry around such a bulky thing and worry where to put them.. the steel back scratches your ipod. When no music is playing, you can hear a conversation clearly with most IEMs. Plus, you are gonna have a 100+ inch cable down from your headphone to your ipod.
