Anyone heard the Audio Technica ATH-ES3A?

Oh.  So there are reviews if you leave off the "A".  Not good either.  (sigh)   Sorry for the unnecessary thread.

Anyone heard the Audio Technica ATH-ES3A?

It's like the ES3's don't exist - I can't find any reviews or impressions online after extensive Google searching.  I'm looking for some decently sound isolating phones that are much more portable than my M50's (IEM's aren't my cup of tea), and these look like decent candidates over the...

    PC Speaker placement

This is good info. The mention of angling speakers "toe out" is interesting, since traditionally speakers are said to be toed in. Mine are "in" now, but I'm going to try different placements.

Yeah, I forgot about folding bikes. I've never ridden one, but they are great if you take metro or bus. You can keep them under your desk too.

    Bike to Work Week

No doubt, there can be several challenges. Everyone's circumstances are different, but although some have it easier there is always a workaround. I'm lucky in that I have my own office (and they let me park my bike in it!) but like most people we don't have showers. Showers are low on the list...

    Bike to Work Week

Today is the first day of Bike to Work Week, and Friday is Bike to Work Day. If there are any cyclists here who don't already commute by bike, you should start this week! There's lots of good information out there for beginners. It's sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists, but most...

How to use a portable DAC with Macs?

I believe you just connect it via USB, then change your sound card under Preferences (doesn't change automatically).

    Help me replace my DAC

FYI - I believe I saw a post in the HUGE Zero thread that said that seller (Lawrence) is being unresponsive to replacement inquiries. Seems the newer Zeros have had some major quality issues, and I only mention it since you may not want to risk going through this again.

    Help me replace my DAC

Two questions: Where did you get it (who isn't honoring their warranty)? Have you tried another power supply? That seems to be a common issue.

Oh, and I should add that everyone seems to recommend an external DAC because a computer's internal hardware adds noise.

Please help a beginner choose an audio interface (different thread!)

I'm not an expert either, but I think what you're looking for is a DAC. Your sound card is essentially a DAC, and when you connect a USB DAC it functions as an external sound card. There is plenty of information here, and although I can't recommend something from experience (I'm researching them...

Why don't more USB DAC's have two outputs?

I should point out that some DAC's do have two outputs, just not many. I just wish more did, which would make finding one much easier. If a second output can just be incorporated (at minimum cost), then you wouldn't have to worry about annoying workarounds that may require more expense. FWIW...

    Upgrading my Home Theater

If you have the original XLS version, I believe they have more for sale (and dirt cheap). I had the SLS, and they were awesome. Not to sound like a fanboy, but you can't go wrong with AV123's speakers. They introduced me to good sound, and I really haven't heard anything else I like close to...
