Am I supposed to fold these up the same way as the v6? I extend them all the way out and they fold up into the headband the same way... is this hurting them in any way?

Yeah I pulled the driver out - nothing in it, and the screws aren't loose. I called up sony - I'm sending them out tommorrow so hopefully they'll get fixed/replaced.

So I opened them up and there is nothing behind them or on top of them. Are they supposed to be empty (nothing behind the speaker)? I also noticed with higher frequencies noise tehre is a "beep" that happens in the background - again, only that side. I think Monday Sony is getting a call...

I just got a chance to listen to my Sony V6s from the eCost sale and I've noticed a rattle on the left side when there is bass. Turning it up obscures it, but I'm pretty sure it's still there. Has anyone opened up a set of these cans before? Is there anything I can possibly check or fix myself?

ecost has the px200 back in stock for ~40 after the handling fee.

Refurb *should be* good as new.... alot of times they are customer returns where said customer even lied about something being wrong to return it. 90 day warranty is good enough for me - I figure if it breaks, it'll be in the first week o fuse.

Is the new set-up you're working on "better" than the old one? I did find a source of a board and buffers, but I'm tempted to wait if the new going to be on-par or better than the old one.
