Shanling M7 - Qualcomm 665 CPU, ESS ES9038PRO DAC, Android 10, 5-inch screen
I have a recommendation for all owners of the M7. For extended listening sessions, you need a cell phone cooling unit, designed for gaming. At high gain, the unit gets uncomfortably hot. Not hot enough to burn, but close 😁. This is very bad for high end audio electronics. The cooler incorporates...- bigcat39

Shanling M7 - Qualcomm 665 CPU, ESS ES9038PRO DAC, Android 10, 5-inch screen
I have had my M7around 3 months now, and I don't understand the complaints about WiFi speeds. This device was designed (and purchased) for music streaming, especially the highest-resolution Tidal. I really don't care about WiFi speed beyond the minimum for that purpose. Mine does about 12G when...- bigcat39

Introducing Shanling M7 - Portable Hi-Fi Android Player
Absolutely love my M7, but the heat that it puts out is alarming. Not quite enough to cause burns, but if you block the airflows, it becomes uncomfortable to hold. Killer sound, though.- bigcat39

Shanling M7 - Qualcomm 665 CPU, ESS ES9038PRO DAC, Android 10, 5-inch screen
I don't think 312G is too much. And if you use the leather case, heat is no problem- bigcat39

The very best IEM case
I have entirely too many expensive IEM's, which I tend to carry around. So I went looking for a great case. I found this one. Indestructable. Waterprooof. Easy to carry. Survived being chewed on by a Great Pyrenees dog without a scratch, and protected my MY IEM inside. Less than $10, much...- bigcat39

Upgrade from Cowon Plenue P1
My long serving P1 has finally got to the point that the battery life has become unacceptable. I want a replacement with equivalent single ended sonic performance, probably an android based solution. Suggestions? How much am I going to have to spend?- bigcat39

Cowon Plenue P1
Hi, I just bought a P1 used. It came with a usb cable but I think it is a charge only cable. It will not connect to my PC. Can I just get a data usb cable? Or is it something special?- bigcat39
