Just checking, is it the correct cipher cable for i4? There’s a different cipher for isine 10/20. If you have the correct cipher cable it doesn’t automatically detect different IEMs. It only works with i4 (and i3). You can’t use it with any other IEM.

It took me awhile to get the knack of locking the earfin into the fold of cartridge in my ear. But I agree with the general sentiment that both the earhooks and fins were quirky solutions which hopefully will be replaced by a better solution should Audeze do some sort of LCDi5.

Just one data point. When I’m focused on just listening to music I use Crinnicle’s APM eq setting (with Roon + Qobuz or SoundSource with Apple Music on Mac). To me it really improves the sound of APM. But if I’m cooking, cleaning or otherwise multitasking I don’t bother.

I stopped using the ear hooks awhile ago even though using the plastic tubing slipped over them made them much more comfortable. I use the new style earfins and I forget I’m wearing them.
