Resistor Info Needed
Even though it is only used to test the machine it still must meet medical device approval. OSHA and NIOSH are fairly strict on our clinics. But, I've solved it by buying the test kits and scavenging them for the resistors.- flipzter

Resistor Info Needed
Never found out any specifics about this resistor. The resistors are .1% so I know I can't find them anywhere locally. I bought some more test sets and tore them apart to get to the resistors . Kind of expensive, but needed them quick. I'm sure you're right about the medical ue approval jeffrey...- flipzter

Resistor Info Needed
Attempting to DIY a project at work to use testing dialysis machines temperature settings. You have to connect 4 parts with different resistors one at a time at the present. Have a box with switch with 4 settings. I know how to make the box work, but I've got a question. My boss told me I have...- flipzter

Looks like Comcast is upgrading us to 3mbps
And I thought I was blazing when I had 1.5mbps. Recently downgraded to 500 to save a little cash. I don't think I can ever go back to dial up.- flipzter

Burned CD's -- hear the difference?
I've heard some really poor cds made from low bitrate mp3s. I made backups of all my audio cds to use in the car. If they get scratched I just toss em and make another. I have never heard a poor sounding copy of a cd. I can't tell if I have the original or copy by listening to it.- flipzter

Copy-Protected CD
Use Clone cd along with Clony XXL. Clony finds the copy protection and fixes the settings in clone cd properly for the type of protection the cd has. From there you can copy the cd. Rip the copy. Extra step, but it works.- flipzter

Song Title from We Were Soldiers
Looking for the name of the song on We Were Soldiers. I think it was in a battlefield scene. Words sounded like " And here they come, from the cold cold grund" Really not sure but it had a good sound. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Sgt. McKenzie is the name of the song. Had to...- flipzter

Yet another CMOY question
My first Cmoy was DOA and a friendly fellow Hi-Fier fixed it Pro Bono. I kinda lost the "I Did This" feeling, but I've since made another and it worked. Great feeling when you make something and it works. I called my wife at work and put the headphones to the phone!! (Of course she hung up on...- flipzter

where do you hold your player?
Internal jacket pocket when outside. Belt when inside. You'd have to have loose pants to carry in a front pocket comfortably.- flipzter

Obsessive thoughts?
I'm all for meds if that's what it takes. Sorry if my post sounded against it. I was actually trying a "soft-touch" approach to med therapy. My mother in law had OCD to the extent she constantly scrubbed the skin from her hands. Literally, mangled, bloody mess. She also counted anything and...- flipzter

Obsessive thoughts?
pbirkett, I understand wanting medication therapy to be the last resort. But, sometimes it's one of the first options a doctor will recommend because it has the quickest result. When you see the doctor, ask about all the options. If meds are prescribed, ask about the side effects and...- flipzter

TAZ I
I remember on the archos multimedia forums this player was discussed around April of this year. Do they have any pictures of the real player, or just mock ups and photoshops? Nice specs if it's not vaporware.- flipzter

Obsessive thoughts?
pbirket, Most people have certain obsessive thoughts. Be it counting road signs, constantly straightening your hair, smelling your hands, or a myriad of other things that are contantly and unconciously done. It's when these tendencies "take over your life" that it becomes a problem...- flipzter

MP3 file name
Hack.. Do all your mp3s have the same format as your sample: (Jimi_Hendrix)-Manic_Depression.MP3 Are they all named exactly like this? If not, I don't think you'll find a utility to actually scan your files for you and rename them. Unless you ripped the files and used CDDB and they have ID3...- flipzter

Cheap portable headphone amp that is NOT noisy?
As a former owner of a few boostaroos, I can attest that a Cmoy is MUCH better than the boostaroo. The only thing I used the boostaroo for was either 1)In the car to save on MP3 players battery or 2)While riding the lawn mower where sound quality doesn't count. After I received my Cmoy I...- flipzter

Any Masonic Members
Just curious if there are any other Masonic members on the forum. I joined the Wahabi Shrine in Jackson, MS today.
