Can of worms: iPod sound quality question

It really depends on what you listen to, I mean for pop songs... it is probably ok. But for music, it is pretty bad.

Can of worms: iPod sound quality question

Hi, What's "bass roll off"? I happen to have an iPod Photo 30GB that sounds absolutely heinous (to me) and it is not like I'm THAT much of an audiophile. The sound is... muddy.. and the sound stage is flat.. and it just sucks to the point where the iPod sits more on my desk than on the...

    New to EAC

You can either use FreeDB or if you are using the EAC > Image > iTunes method, iTunes will tag it automatically for you.

    New to EAC

If the CD is really banged up you might want to try burst mode. It is counter intuitive, but hey, I had a couple of scratched CDs which took forever to rip on secure mode, and still have audible clips, but they rip fine on burst. You just gotta try your luck

AAC & ALAC crackle... Hey, BlessingX!

What I do nowadays is to use EAC and rip it into an image (basically it is a full length WAV file of the CD) and create a cue sheet for it. Then when I need to import it into iTunes (or anything else for that matter) all I have to do is just load the cue sheet up on a virtual CD device, and...

    Recently got a iPod Photo 30GB (from a 4G 20GB).. sounds TERRIBLE!

I'm not sure what's the cause.. but it seems like there is not enough juice to drive my headphones. Maybe the old 20GB was an exceptionally good iPod, or maybe this new one is a crap one, but it has been quite a while since I got it (> 10 days definitely) so I don't think I can get a...

    Recently got a iPod Photo 30GB (from a 4G 20GB).. sounds TERRIBLE!

Hi, I'm not sure how to describe it, but the stuff I listen to are usually very rich in highs like Charlotte Church etc.. and on the new iPod, it seems like these highs seem to be clipped off or something, producing a very harsh sounding result. The big irony is it sounds *pretty* decent...
