Which eartip to use with Westone UM3X?
I didn't like the Klipsch Gels with the UM3X, I had a few issues with the gels staying in my ear when I removed the headphones, and they sounded ever so slightly muffled to me. The Comply Foam tips are amazing, though I did get some UM56 tips, and I can't figure out how I listened to these...- GosuEric

the Audiologists impressions thread (pun most definitely intended ;) )
Got the tips today, came out really well. Don't seem too annoying in my ear, though it was a bit interesting figuring out how to get them to go in my ear. Kinda weird but great. Amazing fit, and I'm really liking them. I've noticed that there's no notches, though I usually keep them in their...- GosuEric

the Audiologists impressions thread (pun most definitely intended ;) )
Not sure if this is the proper topic for this or not, but from what I've read I think it is. Gonna just start it off with my story. --- So I got the UM3X about a month ago, and I'm quite happy. A bit less bassy and less soundstage than my Klipsch X10, but better in the rest of the spectrum...- GosuEric

Klipsch X10 mishap and ear problems!
I never had this issue. They don't go in that deep, you shouldn't need to anyway. As stated, you probably are playing them far too loud. I never used them above 40% with my iPod.- GosuEric

Tips for the UM3X?
I used the Klipsch gels on them and it worked fine for now. Sounded a bit less spacious but not too bad. I had the Complys get stuck in my ear twice now which turns me off a bit. If the olives also tend to do that then maybe the UM56 is my best bet for now. I do plan to eventually reshell...- GosuEric

Tips for the UM3X?
Currently running on the Comply Foams, though it seems like it'd be a bit expensive to constantly buy packs every few months or so. I'd prefer a cheaper alternative, or maybe one that's more durable. I was thinking of the UM56 tips, though I'm not sure I want to drop that much on them yet...- GosuEric

Westone 3 vs UM3X (Unamped)
I love my UM3X out of my iPod Touch. Neutral to my ears and amazing. Amped with my cheap Cmoy amp they sound even better. I'm really considering a new amp for them.- GosuEric

Westone UM3X Thread
Got mine yesterday, these are AMAZING. While I do miss how low the bass went on the X10s, these improve everywhere else, except maybe soundstage which seems to be a bit smaller, though it's not too much to worry about. I'm sure it'll all improve with more listening too.- GosuEric

Wanting to upgrade from my X10s...
Actually that sounds amazing, if I can figure it out. Probably picking up a pair of UM3X if I can figure this bing cashback thing out, though suggestions are still welcome.- GosuEric

Wanting to upgrade from my X10s...
I use the Comply Foams on my X10s, and which it does sound better than the Gel tips bass wise, it also feels like it's still sorta... muffled in a way. Maybe it's just me. The problem with Customs is that they're going to take me over my budget, even increased budget of $400 (in general). I...- GosuEric

Wanting to upgrade from my X10s...
Thinking about dropping some money for the 530s, though it's not set. I love my X10s but lately they've felt more and more... lacking. I've had them roughly a year, so maybe it's just that time, but they seem to be... almost missing the high end and mids. Not entirely, but it just seems as if...- GosuEric

Question on X10 Durability...
So I've had my X10s for almost a year now, getting them last year during their November half off sale. Incredibly comfortable, great sound, the works. I take fairly good care of them, I don't wrap them around my player, keep them in the case when not in use, clean out the wax regularly, but I...- GosuEric

Ultimate Ears 700 and other etc...
The X10s are incredibly comfortable. My experience with IEMs is fairly limited, but they are the most comfortable IEMs I've ever used. Of course, they might be a bit more expensive than your 700s dependent on where you get 'em, but they're wonderful. Though maybe it's just me, but going back...- GosuEric

Your Thoughts on Top-Tier IEMs
Kinda surprised to see a lack of mentions of the X10s. For whatever reason though, I don't see them as a top-tier IEM, but that might be because I own them, or because they were so deliciously cheap (for the quality) when I got them. Much like the poster on the first page, I'm not really sure...- GosuEric

The Klipsch flagship battle royale - Custom 3 vs. Image X10. The winner is....
Mine are split as well, but they don't seem to be damage in any other way. Anything I should be worried about by the strain relief splitting? I mean they sound fine and look fine otherwise, but I don't want to end up without headphones.- GosuEric

LOD vs Headphone my X10 experience..
I have no problems when running my X10s from my iTouch 2G. Sounds great straight out of the headphone-out, and even better when paired with my amp. The only thing I can think of is that the FiiO's Bass Boost is muddying up the sound. Not that the FiiO's bass boost is a bad thing, but the X10s...- GosuEric

Ultimate Ears UE4Pro or JH Audio JH5Pro
Gonna post here to tag this topic; really interested in where this is going. Been looking at Customs for a while, and either of these would be fantastic choices imo. Been leaning towards UE due to Jude's review of the UE4, and of course the way they keep your molds on file for new ones etc...- GosuEric

Image X10 (re) appreciation thread
There's no serial number for them apparently. I left it blank and it worked anyway. I think only speakers have a serial number. As for the topic, I just got my new order of Complys, and once again I am in love. I can't stop listening to them, even when I'm home.- GosuEric

Had mine for two years, still love 'em. Kinda wondering if I'd notice an improvement by going to 600/650s but I don't mind these at all.- GosuEric

Image X10 (re) appreciation thread
The Comply tips are wonderful. Better seal, and better bass response (which is already fantastic with the included gel tips) imho. Haven't really heard any other headphones in the price range, so I can't say for sure what they're worth exactly, but they're easily eons above what I've had...- GosuEric

Got new custom molds today Klipsch x10! 56k warning

Sub $150 IEM's that sound like HD555
555s are rather weak in bass anyway. Doing the foam mod improves it a slight bit as well as slightly improves the soundtage, and I'm sure the grill mod would improve it as well, but I haven't tried that. Regardless, the PFEs are well regarded for sub $150 IEMs, and are actually recommended in...- GosuEric

My Audibly Ignorant & Uneducated Review of the Klipsh Custom 3
Gah, I love my X10s, but I really want to try the C3s. It's insane. I have to agree with the cables though, they do seem a bit like they enjoy remembering how to tangle themselves. The black part near the casing (it's like rubber, I think, not sure) has ripped a bit for me too. Doesn't...- GosuEric
