Hahah, wow. So there's an actual issue wiht the material. I do notice that the cable on the E4c isn't as flexy as the E3c. The part that broke is a high stress area, it's right where it curves sharply to hide behind my ear. It is one of the most oily place on my head - not that I'm an oily guy...

yea, be careful with the volume. with my old open phones, i listen at 75-80%, but with the E3c, it's usually at 45-50%. massive difference. and i can't stand anything over 80% now. too damn loud.
