Thanks for the replies - to address the points raised I'm already rockboxed, but the original firmware will not load and rockbox doesn't always. I need more space, so going CF isn't really going to help much.

Just upgraded from ER6 to UM2 - Wow is the only word. Great sound is only the start - superb comfort is the big thing though.

H320 user here - rockboxed and happy, but the battery is getting weak and the hard drive feels unresponsive... Still a great player though!
