Looking for less breakable EarPods alternative WITHOUT sealing

I'm looking for a good alternative to Apple EarPods. I like everything about the EarPods except the fact that with every pair I've owned, one ear loses its connection after a few months. (I tend to keep them in my pocket, so they do get a bit of wear and tear). So either something more reliable...

What happened to the Sharp MD33?

I discovered the Sharp MD33 a couple years ago on these forums. For me it was just the right balance between sound quality and comfort. But I can't find them for sale anymore (last time I used AudioCubes, but they no longer have them). Do they still exist? Thanks, JW

    Sharp HP-MD33S: odd cable?

Yeah, I wish I had know about this (and about the Creative) before I bought it. Now the question is, do I trust my soldering skills enough to try to fix it myself? Still, I'm very happy with the 'phones....they seem to be the perfect balance between price, sound quality, and comfort.

    Sharp HP-MD33S: odd cable?

That was fast! Four-pole connectors, huh? That's pretty annoying. I guess I'm stuck with the long adapter. Thanks, Jacob

    Sharp HP-MD33S: odd cable?

Thanks to the helpful advice on this forum, I just bought the Sharp MD33 earphones from AudioCubes, and I'm very happy with them. But since I must find something to complain about... The headphones' plug is an unusual one, with an extra ring around the sleeve (three instead of two). This...

    Better than EX71 (but similar)?

Well, I'm not necessarily looking for the same price range as the EX71s, although that would be nice (especially since no electronic device seems to last more than a year in my hands). I've tried the Etymotic 4Ps and one of the Shure models (forgot which one). There were a few blissful...

    Better than EX71 (but similar)?

Are there any earbuds out there with a similar form as the EX71s, but better sound quality? I really like the feel of the EX71s, the modest amount of isolation, and the fact that they're easy to put in and take out quickly. But their sound quality leaves a little to be desired; it's very bassy...

How hard is it to make....

First, I just wanted to thank everyone here for their useful advice. This is a great forum, and I return to it all the time. Anyway, I've tried the Etymotic ER-4Ps, the Shure E1Cs, and the Sony EX71s, and they all have their pros and cons. But I'm wondering....how hard is it to make a set of...

    Will any in-the-ear-canal phones work?

    Will any in-the-ear-canal phones work?

Well, I have a few weeks to try them out. So if you have any advice for getting them to work comfortably, I'd love to hear it. Also, I'm a little concerned about putting these things so close to my eardrums. Anyone here with any knowledge in that area? What kind of danger am I getting myself...

    Will any in-the-ear-canal phones work?

I recently purchased the Etymotic ER-4Ps, and I'm thinking of returning them. I have no doubt that they're great headphones, and I love the acoustic isolation that they provide, but they're not working for me. I wonder if other people could share some of their experiences with these or other...
