The LCDuino-1 I/O processor
Very cool! I used an Arduino w/ LCD a couple years ago when I built my Opus DAC for switching inputs/outputs and controlling the lighting. Used a blackberry trackball for navigation.- dgbiker1

Seattle / Woodinville (July 17th) meet impression.
AAARGHHHHH I wasn't paying attention! Looks like this was an amazing meet! I've wanted to hear a K1000 for ages. Oblivious to the fact that this was going on, I was wandering around Hi-Fi row on Roosevelt shopping for amplifiers during the meet. At least I can find a little comfort in my...- dgbiker1

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
I just recently picked up a Rotel amp for my living room, I must confess the combination of Opus + Rotel + Zu has me completely blown away. It has all the detail of K701s with the "fun-ness"/ PRaT of the Grados (and then some). Dare I say... "I'm done"? Ohhh right, I need a turntable! The...- dgbiker1

What's the next step up from the Audioengine A5's
Define "killing your wallet". What is your budget? For around $500, I like the Usher S-520. I almost bought a pair, but it's worth considering that $500 is a good chunk towards a solid pair of speakers. I ended up skipping the Ushers, thinking I would use the $500 towards a pair of Monitor... -
I've given in to the dark side- Hello Zu!
Haha, the color match was a complete coincidence! I was actually about to get rid of that carpet and buy a new one this weekend. That plan was scrapped when I got the speakers. Gould- Thanks, that's a good idea, I have some tiles laying around that I can add underneath. They are actually very... -
I've given in to the dark side- Hello Zu!
I'll start off with the two downsides I've experienced, just to get them out of the way. First- kick drums don't have much impact, which I was kind of hoping for in the move to speakers w/ 10.5" drivers. The speakers don't lack bass, they just don't hit very hard. It should be an easy fix with a... -
I've given in to the dark side- Hello Zu!
Marantz SR8002 at first, but I really want a tube amp for these. I will be ordering a MiniWatt N3 to pair up with my Opus DAC- I think that should be a solid source for not much $$$. -

Just got back from a GREAT drive down the coast including a 900 mile, 14 hour stint (R32 seats=amazing). Driving up the pacific coast highway alone at 3:00AM was absolutely epic. Hwy 299 was a very nice surprise too.- dgbiker1

Bicycle-Fi!
I just (mostly) finished building up my single speed. This thing started life as a Giant Boulder, now the only original Boulder parts are the headset and handlebar (soon to be changed). It needs a seatpost though, the first ride wasn't very comfortable! Of course, I can't post bike pictures...- dgbiker1

Mountian bike-fi
My primary bike, Specialized SX Trail. I LOVE this bike, I used to trade my bikes in yearly when I worked at a shop, but this is the one I never got rid of. I'm also starting to work on building up my single speed. Luckily I found one of the last open oil bath Z1s... my favorite forks of...- dgbiker1

Anyone into high-end car audio?
I absolutely love the harmon/kardon logic7 system in my car. Reminds me of my K701s but with bass. Unfortunately like almost every Harmon (and sub-division) product I've owned, reliability leaves something to be desired. If you see anything with a M.O.S.T. fiberoptic network, I highly recommend...- dgbiker1

The Car/Motorcycle/Motorsport/Anything fast enough to do something stupid in thread!
MkV R32 or A3 3.2 quattro are on my list but I just can't get excited about the 3.2L. Short of $15,000 HPA turbos, I haven't found anything that can be done to that engine. The 2.0T can be tuned well into the 300 HP range for pretty cheap. Even though the A4 wagon has tiptronic, I think I'm...- dgbiker1

They just started offering that with 2009 A3, but I'd rather buy lightly used. A brand new A3 is basically a $35k GTI with quattro, it's hard for me to justify that purchase.- dgbiker1
