iPod and Belkin Dock to AVR

I connected my Belkin Dock to my Onkyo TX-SR705 AVR via the mini to L/R RCA connector and tested some music. My speakers are Paradigm Monitor 7s. Music is ALAC format ripped from WAVs. It sounds like crap. Distorted and way too boomy. Any reason for this? I'm used to playing FLACs on my...

What would make me go WOW!?

I guess I want to know if my iPod 80GB with 320kbps MP3s and Shure SE210s is the best sound quality I can get for the money spent. And if not, then what could I change for little $ more? For example, would ripping all my original FLACs to ALACs provide that substantial difference? Or would...

Getting the Most from Portable RIG for Less?

And will it sound better than 320kbps MP3s ripped from those same FLACs with my portable rig? (iPod Classic & Shure SE210s)?

Getting the Most from Portable RIG for Less?

So can you convert FLAC to the ALAC and retain the losslessness?

Getting the Most from Portable RIG for Less?

So the Zune 30GB sounds better than the iPods? My main home audio RIG for music is: Onkyo TX-SR705 AVR (in Pure Audio mode) Paradigm Monitor 7s This is fed by my HTPC which houses all FLAC files ripped using EAC from the original CDs. Sounds really good via optical cable from my onboard...

What would make me go WOW!?

I have an 80GB iPod Classic and Shure SE210s. Without spending more money (as both items are returnable right now), what would be a significant improvement in sound quality? I'm thinking of just getting an 8GB Nano and returning the 80GB iPod Classic (overkill for me), so that free's up...

My iPod case, not enough protection.

Would the Toughskin prevent the Ipod from sliding into a holder like say on those FM Tuners?

My iPod case, not enough protection.

How does the Toughskin allow you to slide your iPod into one of those FM tuner holders, etc. Do you have to take the Toughskin off every time or does it usually fit?

Over the Ear Phones Comparable to Shure SE210

What over-the-ear phones that are fairly lightweight for wearing out would compare in sound quality to the Shure SE210 in-ear? I find the in-ear uncomfortable, but I'm liking the sound quality from them.

    Shure SE210 vs SE310

Using an iPod classic, is there that much of a sound quality difference between these two models?

Getting the Most from Portable RIG for Less?

I recently picked up an 80GB iPod Classic and a pair of Shure SE210s. I've ripped all my music to FLAC from original CDs, and then converted the FLACs to 320Kbps MP3s using LAME. My question is: Could I spend less money (let's say, on the headphones), and get the same sound quality?

    FM Tuner

I bought the Belkin FM Tuner and I can't seem to get really great sound from it with my iPod Classic 80g. What is the best rated FM Tuner for sound quality for the iPods?
