HELP! grado sr80 problem
The left side of my Grado Sr-80's has developed a weird echo. At first I thought my portable CDP was messing up, but this happens with my SB Live also. There isn't a timing problem, it just sounds like listening in a cave. This effect is extremely noticible and makes music unlistenable. The...- J-5

In market for a new portable CD player.. any suggestions?
Get the Rio Volt at Buy.com for $150. Excellent sound quality and features. It's a little big but can still fit in my pocket. Even if you don't need mp3 compatibility now, it is still a great player.- J-5

What level of encoding for smallest sacrifice of quality?
Go to www.r3mix.net for some good information. Here's a summary of that site. They recomend RazorLame, which is a high quality vbr encoder. For best results go to the experts tab and type "-V1 -mj -h --athtype 3 --lowpass 19.5 -b128 -B320" into the custom options and select the "custom...- J-5
