    DT770 80ohm Alternatives

Hey there,     I've owned the dt770 pro 80 for several years. I absolutely love their soundstage, isolation, and comfort. I'm on my third pair now (first one had a rattling driver, second one got stolen) and I think the wiring in there just went out on me - they're only playing in mono now...

    Need a DJ headphone recommendation

Hi folks, With my latest cans out of commission, I'm in the market for a new pair of DJ phones. I previously owned a pair of V700DJs and the headbands cracked after about 5 months. The clamping force on them was also a bit annoying. So what I'm looking for in my new pair is this: -...

    Darth V3 or V4?

So, I'm potentially in the market for a pair of Darths... (loved the 770... not a perfect pair of cans but still fun). I've never actually tried Darths before for myself (hopefully will soon). Just curious as to everyone's thoughts on the v3 vs the (terminator) v4. Larry seems pretty darn...

Help me find a replacement for my DT770 Pro 80s

I'd be curious to hear how the Denons compare to the DT770 in sound. I was very impressed with my DT770s before they went bad. Any D2000 or D5000 owners here who have heard the DT770 and can give a comparison? I'd miss the velour pads if I went for a pair. Beyer velour has spoiled me. :P

Help me find a replacement for my DT770 Pro 80s

Hi guys! I'm in the market for a new pair of cans, but first some background... I picked up a pair of DT770 80s earlier this year... fell in love with them right away - nice and comfortable, great clarity, and of course, the bass. Unfortunately only a few months later they developed a buzz...

    Help with my DT-770/80's

So I took the plunge and purchased a pair of DT-770's (80 ohm model) last month and I love them to death... most comfortable and best sounding headphones I've ever owned, period. But something has come up in the past couple of weeks that concerns me... A buzz has developed in the mid-to-lower...

    From DT770 to Darth Beyer

I did order the DT770/80 Pro (it was a good eBay deal). I haven't even had the opportunity to try mine yet, they should be arriving any time, but based on the comments I've seen so far, I guess I'm not too reluctant about not opting for Darths. For one, this is my very first high quality...

    From DT770 to Darth Beyer

So after prowling around on these forums for a while I finally decided to shell out some cash for DT770's (they should be arriving tomorrow, yay!). Can't wait to experience their awesomeness. I've seen plenty of people rave about the DT770, and plenty of people rave about the Darth Beyers...

Bassy (but accurate) headphones to use at work?

Thanks guys! I think I read somewhere that Darth Beyers required a headphone amp? Is that true? I'll be using them at work and will be using them with my PC and I don't have an amp (nor do I really particularly feel like investing in one at this point), so a headphone that works well unpowered...

Bassy (but accurate) headphones to use at work?

I had another thread, but it kinda died. I'm looking for a pair of new headphones (my Sony v700dj's are dying). I'd be using these both at work as well as to DJ with, so I'm looking for closed-ear, since they allow less leakage. I mix electronica and primarily listen to both electronica and...

Looking for new cans to use at work

Bump. You can also add the RP-21's to the running, as I've been reading good things on them as well. So now it's ATH-A900 vs. DT-770 vs. RP-21. Thoughts?

Looking for new cans to use at work

Alrighty. Had some time over this holiday weekend to do some research here and elsewhere and i think at this point I'm torn between the ATH-A900 and the Beyerdynamic DT-770. Can anyone who's tried both offer their thoughts? Isolation is important, as is the bass (due to the kind of music I...

Looking for new cans to use at work

I was just digging around some reviews and was reading about the ANC7 that while the highs and mids are exceptional, the bass is a bit lacking. Since a lot of the music I listen to (electronica and rock mainly) is bass heavy, this is a bit of a concern for me. I'll have to dig around some...

Looking for new cans to use at work

Seems like we're getting close to what I'm looking for with the ATH-ANC7 and ATH-A900LTD. slwiser, the weight on the ANC7 looks very nice, thought the weight I saw was without the battery in. Do you feel a significant difference in the weight with the battery in, as opposed to without? I'm...

Looking for new cans to use at work

Hmm. Those wooden AT's look hot. Pretty penny, though (and rightly so, it would seem). Everything recommended so far seems like either a step up (in price) or a step down (in quality) from what I'm looking for. I'm basically looking for something of Bose TriPort Around-Ear phones weight, sound...

Looking for new cans to use at work

So I'm seriously considering the E4P's... my main concern is getting a good seal with them. I understand that getting a good seal is crucial to get good sound from them. I've never tried plug-style phones, so I'm not sure how well they'd fit my ears. I just hate to plunk down a good wad of cash...
