    Your last 10 internet searches......

Have you seen aolstalker.com? It shows what people are searching for on AOL and has lists of users that show what these people have searched for in the past. Some of these people make some pretty bizarre searches.

    Blow Eye Lash Wish ?

I have all 4 lovesliescrushing CDs allmusic has listed. They are all excellent, but I'd say Glissceule and Xuvetyn are my favorites.

Windows users, what internet browser do you use?

I've used Maxthon for the past 2 years or so without a problem. It has tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, ad blocker, and I don't have to worry about any websites being incompatible.

Power Cord Shoot-Out: 14 Power Cords Reviewed

I've had a Violet Z1 cord since about a week and a half ago, and I'm amazed at how much a difference it makes-it really is more like a component upgrade. My system has a more realistic, 3-D kind of sound with stronger and tighter bass and I can't believe all the details I'm hearing that I never...

    65daysofstatic - noisy post-rock fused with math-rock

After reading a few reviews and listening to some of their samples, I think this is a band I could really get into, so I just ordered their new album and Fall of Math tonight. Thanks for the tip, ash!

Paul is Dead, Just Do It..... The backmasking thread

There's a device called the Record Reverser that enables you to play records backwards if you have the right kind of turntable. Aquarius Records sells it for $15. I'd buy one but it wouldn't work on my turntable.

    Long, drawn-out, and relaxed...

The first thing that came to mind was Port-Royal's Flares CD, which I've been playing pretty often lately. It's been described as Brian Eno remixed by Mogwai, but I think Godspeed You Black Emperor remixed by Eno is a little more accurate. It's over 77 minutes long, and most of the tracks are...

The Big Takeover-it probably has more indie album reviews than any other music magazine.

Is there any Rock & Orchestra like S&M?

How about Procol Harum Live in Concert? I haven't heard it years, but I thought it was pretty damn good when I bought the LP back in the 70's.

    Frances the Mute

I just listened to Frances the Mute for the first time today-I was blown away! It's the best thing I've heard in a long time. I'm going to buy Deloused tomorrow. I just found out from CD Universe that a 'String Quartet Tribute to Mars Volta' is going to be released on May 10!?

Please Recommend Me a Meaty Book =)

I second Minya's recommendation for David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest. It's the best novel I've ever read. Over 1,000 pages and I didn't want it to end. If you want cyberpunk, I'd suggest Richard K Morgan's Altered Carbon. I'd never heard of The Saragossa Manuscript. I'll have to...

I can't stand the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Stevie Wonder, but I really like the Peppers' version of 'Higher Ground'.

    Other Music Like the Boredoms

I've got Super Ae. Vision Creation Newsun is another great Boredoms album. You should try Acid Mothers Temple. They're sort of like the Boredoms, but noisier and more guitar oriented maybe. They seem to put out a new album every month. I have about 10 of them. I think their best ones are...

What was the last movie you watched?

Napoleon Dynamite-funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I also saw Anchorman and Dodgeball but I think I got more laughs out of Napoleon than those 2 movies combined.

Anyone every heard of "the pelicans?"

I assume you mean "Pelican". They're one of my favorite metal bands. I have their EP and Australasia CD. They're both excellent. I just got a CD the other day that blew me away by a band called Spickle-The Right to Remain Silent. It's intense, sort of like prog speed metal.

    NEED INFECTED MUSHROOM!!!

There's a used copy on Ebay now, the current bid is 8 cents. Also, Saikosounds has it for $12.95. I've ordered from them before, they're reliable, and they have samples of all Infected Mushroom songs. I have their Gathering CD, it's one of my favorite trance albums.

    help me pick a book!

I really liked Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan. I'd say it's the best 'cyberpunk' novel I've read. I read that the producer of the Matrix is going to make a movie out of it.
