You shouldn't have to put the volume up that high on an ipod, I only put mine to a little less than 3\4 and it's pretty loud on my grados. Anyway, listen to some early Rush. Mmm Rush.

I'm in Canada, and I picked up my SR-80s for under 80$ on ebay. Probably the best way of getting them up here.

Don't forget to try bending the headband on those grados if you haven't already : D.

Haha, spock's beard's a cool band xD. From what I've heard the UE's are going to be your best bet for solid bass and that type of music. I've tried the shures and I can say that I didn't like them much at all. I haven't tried the UE's but people say good things about them, so ;D.

SR-80s all the way. You listen to what I listen to, and the SR-80s do it REALLY well for the price. Like, really. Go for it.
