Could you here the Difference?
Quote: LOL. So your ears are made of circuit? Please, don't make me laugh more in this matter..... I don't want to be insultant but I couldn't help it. Somebody please measure this speaker with a circuit only!- killkli

Could you here the Difference?
I can tell you that the amplifier measure very great if you just put an ohm resistor and loop-back record it. My measurement shows that DAC1 can do very great, all under 0.006% across frequency. Blackcube is also very good, with DAC1 as source, it can drive with 32 or 100 ohm load ,while...- killkli

Please help me do a small test about sound distortion.
Harmonic distortion is non-liner distortion. You should read more about what's non-loner and what's not. Though I do think IMD is an important factor too. But I think one should narrow the factors down to simple problems and solve them one by one. Here I only intended to see how...- killkli

Could you here the Difference?
BTW, I'm not talking about the GREAT tube amps that are so expensive. I'm talking about east easy designed & you can see everywhere around tube amps. They generally do have much higher distortion rate than the same priced SS amp.- killkli

Please help me do a small test about sound distortion.
Quote: There are actually quite some people preferred lower distortion ones. But do read my theory in the other thread, I'm not testing to prove that tube amp sounds better. I'm trying to reason out why tube amp and some higher distortion designed amp do have some lovers. (Such as...- killkli

Tube Vs Solid State
Actually, I did a test for the question in Sound Science forum. It's here: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/newestpost/596966 I've also posted my theory in my last reply. But you really can't say that Tube has more bass or warmth or something like that. It's very widely varied in...- killkli

Please help me do a small test about sound distortion.
Here comes the answer: A file has a distortion rate around 1% B file has a distortion rate around 10% All distortion is of 2nd harmonic. I've posted my theory in the thread here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/596966/could-you-here-the-difference/15#post_8198266 note that the AB...- killkli

Could you here the Difference?
I'm sorry for the delay in putting the answer up. Here it comes: A file got more distortion. The distortion rate is about 20% for A file, and around 1% for B file. All distortions are 2nd distortion. However, there is another difference here: A file's distortion sound has an...- killkli

Tube Vs Solid State
No differences. And it all depends on different design and built quality. Each tube amp and SS amp has it's own character, so your question is quite meaningless.....- killkli

Review: A Jewel for the Price: Audio-Technica TAD400
It's open back design. So the headstage is more spacious than closed design such as m50 or sj series. The vocal presentation is quite forward. Most of the vocal sounds are positioned in the center of the sound imagination.- killkli

Review: SoundMagic ES18 Measured
Well, I have no other experience with SoundMagic's IEMs. This is my first one. It's the cheapest hi-fi IEM I've ever bought. Yes, I mean it. It's high fidelity enough that I will not hesitate to call it HI-FI. AND, it's cheap. It costs me $15 dollars here in Taiwan. How good...- killkli

Review: A Jewel for the Price: Audio-Technica TAD400
Last year, Audio-Technica had released several new products (as they always does.) However, most people had their eyes only on the top lines such as W3000ANV, ck100 pro, etc. But there are some great jewels among the new line TAD series. I come across one, TAD400. Put it simply, it's the...- killkli

DSP tube amplifier?
Quote: If you're using foobar2000, Convolver is a good choice. It can be found here: http://convolver.sourceforge.net/ Or you can use simpler DSP such as this: http://skipyrich.com/wiki/Foobar2000:Tube_Sound- killkli

DSP tube amplifier?
But you would still need a good solid state amp for the purpose. Yet the idea is good, and some did have this DSP built for software player, recording programs and so on. The problem is, ones who would buy a good expensive SS amp, are the ones who prefers it's sound better than the Tube...- killkli

The Vacuum-Tube Lie (and Tubes Done Right)
You can see the power amplifier page of English wikipedia. It has a section for tube amplifying. I think it's very illustrating. Tube added much harmonic sounds to the music. These harmonics are usually 2nd harmonic which means they are an octave higher than the original tone. To...- killkli

SoundMagic ES18
I've run some measurement with ES18. It's a very great IEM! Very low distortion and quite flat frequency response. I'll post my review later! The silicon tip can't provide good seal. Try comply foam T400, the IEM sounds even better then some $200 phones to me, with comply foam.- killkli

Could you here the Difference?

Could you here the Difference?

Could you here the Difference?
