    Grado Fan Club!

In my case, it could very well have been volume. I was listening to the 325e's in a store with a lot of noise which I had to compensate for by cranking up the volume. Not a fair listen for sure. With my new 125e's, I'm controlling my listening environment so I can listen at a reasonable volume.

    Grado Fan Club!

I'm new to the club. I received some cash for Christmas and decided to spend it on my first pair of Grados. I was primarily using Koss Portapros and KSC75s which I enjoy and still use when I'm out walking etc, but I've been drawn to the Grado story for a while and decided it was time to scratch...

    What Headphone? ~$65

You should have a look at the Equation Audio RP-15MC. I think they would meet your needs except perhaps in the comfort department... they can be a little snug depending on the size of your head. I have the Koss PortaPro and KSC-75 as well but I tend to reach for the RP-15MC most often, both at...

    EQUATION AUDIO EARTOOLS: REVIEW

I went to my local dealer a few weeks ago to buy the RP-21 based on this thread but after actually trying them, I preferred the RP-15MC and bought those instead. Generally I'm very happy with them but I find that the inner ring on the RH side pushes against the inner part of my ear causing some...

    Best headphones for quiet office?

Koss PortaPros are small, fairly inexpensive, sound great, quite comfortable, and are open so you can hear what's going on around you yet they leak out very little. I used them in an office environment for a while but gave up on them becuase my office is noisy and I needed to block outside...

    JVC FX33 Mod.

I bought a pair earier this week and found the sound to be harsh with little bass. In fact it was so harsh that I now have a buzzing in my head that I can't seem to shake and I don't think I played them all that loud. Poeple here seem to be experiencing the opposite... too much bass, weak highs...

    Orthodynamic Roundup

The pads are 68cm (2 3/4") across and 1cm (7/16") thick. Yes, I do know how to solder. Finding the intermittent spot might be tricky but I've never given it a serious try; I'll give it a shot. As for replacing the whole cord, I'd need advice on cable type etc. I think there was some mention...

    Orthodynamic Roundup

I guess I'll join the club; I have a pair of HP-3's. I just found this site while searching for a replacement phones for my iPod. While getting hooked on reviews for MDR-V6, K81DJ, and FX-33, mods etc. I decided to dig out an old pair of headphones I bought when I was 17 (I'm 45 now). I did...

    Isolating replacements for Porta Pros?

One other little thing... I wear glasses. Will that be a significant issue with any of the above?

    Isolating replacements for Porta Pros?

I'm leaning towards JBL 410s at the moment. Any thoughts on these for my purposes? How is the isolation on these?
