'Zero DAC' suitable fir beginner?
i dont think there is a need to have "skills" to buy DAC's.. Im sure a newb can get a $3000> DAC if he wishes. I think is a good buy, you can read the 'zero dac' thread and try to do some tweaks on it!- eddyz

help choosing a dac
uDAC will be best for the buck ( and probably a part of the cheapest DAC's u can get) But if you can fork 500, then i suggest looking at Littledot's DAC.- eddyz

Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling
I just recieved this amp with stock tubes. It sounds great , but im sure with new tubes and opamp rolling I can get more out of it. I have been noticing a lot of static noise after reaching 40+ in volume. The unit is next to a monitor , but it still produced small static noise when i placed...- eddyz

Online Hi-FI stores in Canada?
not just audio gear, most electronic/hard goods in canada cost a lot more than down south. (e.g. Cars, Appliances, Televisions) themacgroup sells NuForce gears and other audio gear at a good price. Personally, if you want to actually save money, wait for used equipment here on the forum or...- eddyz

for canadians. my friend called themacgroup.ca (canadian based), they are taking pre-orders for the uForce for $99 + applicable taxes shipped. After pre-order is 10$ shipped to Canadian cities! Just preordered mine now they said it should arrive and be shipped in before first week of new years- eddyz

um, call me a newb, but how come i don't see the SPDIF output? I know it says "turn off volume to activate" but where is the actually output plug? Also, do you think this setup of ... netbook -> udac -> LD 1+ -> headphone (SR225, ATH CK300H) is a good setup?- eddyz

Muse Audio DAC?
the lack of a power switch in the Muse is definetly a negative for me. The idea or unplugging and plugging is not too appealing to me. But at that price point, it is very tempting.- eddyz
