Have a look at this cd transport positive video! He does make some good points. But i don't believe it will ever sound better than pure ripped digital data.

Any CD transport is by itself a worse source of digital data than the ripped data because the data from the CD has to be read on the fly which can introduce errors. The effect on bass and so on comes from the DAC which you also need with the ripped data. I would suggest ripping CDs in a secure...

Isn't ripping a CD and playing it back from some kind of computer always the better option? The only downside i see is the time needed to rip the CDs.

I had mine running for 300+ hours. It does not really change much. At least it did not magically get deep bass or sparkling treble. And i can't confirm 'sharpness' in its sound either. It's very picky about the songs it likes it seems. It can sound great at times. But it's not an all weather...

It's hard to tell what you will like and what you won't like as it's so much a thing of your taste and sound material and also your hearing. For example for me my RS2e seem very bass light and for me they sound much better with some Mojo 2 bass boost. GH2 and PS500e do great without that and so...

The Chord Mojos are outstanding and work very well with Grado heaphones. Downside of the Mojo 1 is that you don't have any EQ so it's best for bass heavier Grados. The GH2 works very well with it. In my humble opinion.

I guess i'd just get another RS1 button from Ebay. They often go for 400 Euros. Dunno if i wanted new drivers in the old housings, how much would that cost? And getting another driver from Ebay is no real solution either as they're not matched then.

Now please compare GH2 and GH4 with the GH1!

The RS2e for 235 Euros is a true steal! They're a little bass light so be aware of that. But some years ago the RS2e were pretty hyped on this forum and i paid over 500 Euros for mine new in 2020. I use them with the Chord Mojo 2 with some bass boost and they're really great, rich in details...

Add some EQ or use a bassy amp and it will give you bliss!

I used the RS1 button with F-pads and didn't like it. Imho they sound way nicer with L.

They're a bigger diameter driver G-pad headphone. They do sound like Grados but also different. I mean they're nice but not exciting. They have a warm sound like an old radio. Voices and mids in general are rendered beautifully. Upper bass is thick but lower bass is not. Lower treble is there...

Dunno, that stigma of Android was maybe there right after the first iPhones, i personally never experienced it when i had an Android and i never heard anything like this from "the kids" i know nowadays. Maybe the Android users are more aggressive in Germany?

I really don't want to start any animosities here but whenever someone says he is burning in something in regard to audio stuff someone else pops up and explains to him that it's all an illusion. But mind you, (almost) never the other way round! Just like there will be always some Android user...

It's a steal for 300. And it has some serious bass. It will never be my main Grado but it's great for classic music and jazz.

I find it easier if i don't check on the burning in headphone all the time. Let's say i get a new Grado and i am not impressed. I let it run for 100 hours and then i like it. Can't be brain burn-in then and the change is easier to spot this way.

One GH is enough as those are, too, quite similar. Hemp and RS2e are a good addition to a GH as they are quite the polar opposites with the GHs in the middle.

GH2 and PS500e are too close in sound to own both really. Unless you don't care about money, in this case buy them all :D
