I've just installed the 1.16 and noticed the equalizer doesn't work at all. After setting up my EQ and after closing and reopening the Fiio app the settings are reverted. Even after switching the 3 modes it get's reverted. I tried to set the EQ on all 3 custom effects but not even one of them...

I have them too and yes you have more then enough power. Even on low gain with desktop mode off.

This is normal because the KA17 disconnects and changes the mode. Try to disconnect the KA17 and connect again after you turned on/off the EQ.

You need a Powerbank because the lightning port doesn't have enough power. Especially when you need more power.

Did you try to update/reinstall the fiio driver? I had the problem yesterday too but after updating the firmware it works now.

After the 0.99 update I can play now DSD on my iPhone15 Pro Max. Thanks @FiiO for fixing this :) I think overall the KA17 is now better and hopefully all of the bugs are now fixed but one thing I want to know is an explanation for the Filters. EDIT: The equalizer is as bad as before...

I don‘t have any clicking sounds, and I just bought the 7hZ timeless ae because I don‘t want to use the equalizer. The Sundara has too little Bass for me when I hear music and the 7Hz is for me the perfect IEM for Rap/Electro.

I had both the KA5 and the KA17 and in the a/b comparison the KA17 sounds better in my opinion. The trebles are a little more present on the KA17. Tested with the Sundara.

I have the Sundara for 2 years now and I am happy with the headphones because they are analytic and the KA17 extends the treble more so they harmonize with each other.

@FiiO I just noticed that the KA17 uses the DSD mode while the iPhone 15 Pro only has the DoP mode. I think the KA17 has problems to recognize the right mode that’s coming from the iPhone and that‘s the reason for the noise. The noise gets louder when I raise the volume.

I have a USB meter and the KA17 shuts off the supply from the phone as soon as I connect the cable into the second port.

Do you have a USB power meter? Try to connect the KA17 to the power supply first and look if the display turns on. When the display doesn’t turn on when you connect something into the red usbc port then there is something wrong.

It sounds for me that your Phone can't handle the power. If you have an iPhone with a lightning port try to use a camera adapter and connect a charger to it. On the PC it shoudn't be a problem either.

I don't have any problems with my Sundara on my KA3 or KA5 but it has only 37 Ohms so it isn't a huge expense to drive it. A HD6xx would be more problematic with 300 Ohms but I don't have one to try this out.

I am not happy that you can’t control the volume on the iPhone. It should get an option to turn it on or off because if I watch some videos on the PC the KA17 is out of my reach and so I would need to lean under my desk to control the volume and I think no one wants to do that.

Your iPhone 12‘s lightning port doesn’t have enough power for the KA17 but one workaround is that you connect a Powerbank to it. I had the same problem at high volumes and I bought a camera adapter for iPhone, connected a charger and my KA3 at the same time to it and got enough power.

Does DSD works? And if yes, which Player do you use? I have the KA17 too but if I try to play DSD on my iPhone 15PM I am getting only noise with little music, on the IP13PM it works fine but only if I turn MQA mode on and then I can‘t control the volume on my IPhone.
