I have a topping velvet stack as well and just looking for a warmer flavor at times. I listen to mostly dark ambient and experimental music - most of which isn't recorded great. Therefore seems like I should have a tube or hybrid setup in my lineup. Thanks for the info above.

im hearing alot of conflicting opinions about Empy2 with Tube amps vs Hybrids. im looking into a WA7 3rd edition but not sure yet if i should buy.. some have said it made minimal difference. I wish I would have spent more time at Canjam Dallas testing amps as much as headphones..

just curious - what is it that you didnt like about the SM? Bonne sounded a little to muddy to me but i was in a loud listening room

i heard these at CanJam Dallas and immediately ordered them from Bloom. i use them almost everyday. Everything sounds good on them - hirez to soundcloud. i have about 10 sets of headphones and IEMs - i use EQ on all of them. except these. was really cool meeting the designers in person...

i prefer the Mammoth. both need some EQ but without i like Mammoth's sound better. but i have a more sentimental attachment to V2. Supermoon's bass is outstanding.
