I was able to program my universal remote with some trickery to play any track between 1-20. I think the official answer here was no, not sure if that has changed.

Don’t be condescending, if you don’t value my opinion no need to be rude about it. Throwing it back at me with ‘you do you’ is exactly that. My opinion is that you have only complained about it and not really given any solid input as you claim.

While I don’t use the streaming, the app or bt with ET3 after the initial set up, I used an iPhone and a iPad for all of it. The set up feels awkward and it took a few tries but in the end it worked just fine. In the end and as stated before it’s beautiful CD transport. ;)

I bought ET3 as a CD transport and it’s been wonderful as that. Yes, there are bugs and/or some advertised features are not quite there, SRC for one. Changing the display option doesn’t seem like that tall of an order and I believe shanling will get to it. Hope everything else gets sorted...

You need a cable like this, just go to any sound related shop and they can create and properly terminated mini AES with a female output if you don't want to buy it...

Aye, actually I do have the same CD, that’s the early 2000s I mentioned. No problems spinning it. In and out multiple times, and played thru twice last night no skips or errors. You probably have a defective unit, with all the problems you encountered.

I believe I have two copies of this, an early 90's version and one of the early 2000's remasters. I will check. From the label, I don't believe I have the exact release unfortunately.

What's the label/catalogue number? There are many versions of this CD.

I'm hoping that these pesky and suprising bugs can be ironed out, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately these days it's expected that something will be buggy or half-there. @gibelio could you let us know what CD's you've had problems playing. I would like to see if they don't play for me...

Looks like that the ET3 in it's ON/CD not spinning state (No SRC) sends out 48kHz` signal which it immediately switches to 44.1kHz when CD play buttons is pressed, this is over AES. Can anyone else confirm this? This happens only when the unit comes out of standby mode. After that, stop button...
