Shanling ET3 - Dedicated Digital CD Transport, With USB Drive and Wi-Fi Support
@Shanling Hello, any updates coming soon? It's been half a year since you said you/engineers/software team were looking into something for the ET3, and many requests on this forum?- Private

I was able to program my universal remote with some trickery to play any track between 1-20. I think the official answer here was no, not sure if that has changed.- Private

Shanling ET3 - Dedicated Digital CD Transport, With USB Drive and Wi-Fi Support
It took JBL over 3 years to fix an issue for me (and others) with a product that was retailing for about 5K. So I think we differ in opinion if 8 months seems a bit much. I do agree with you that it's definitely not the greatest feeling in the world to have to wait for something you want to...- Private

I certainly did not aim to make anything personal or to be rude myself @nonameGiven but rebuttal was indeed needed. We can agree to disagree all day long and nothing will come of it. I certainly gushed over the ET3 sound and still do. It is simply not true that everything is perfect in this...- Private

Don’t be condescending, if you don’t value my opinion no need to be rude about it. Throwing it back at me with ‘you do you’ is exactly that. My opinion is that you have only complained about it and not really given any solid input as you claim.- Private

While I don’t use the streaming, the app or bt with ET3 after the initial set up, I used an iPhone and a iPad for all of it. The set up feels awkward and it took a few tries but in the end it worked just fine. In the end and as stated before it’s beautiful CD transport. ;)- Private

@nonameGiven Must be nice, as an audio professional I encounter countless ‘advertised features don’t work’ situations, like ALL THE freakin’ TIME. I’ve bought pieces that cost 20k or more and in their 1.0 version have provided only infuriating issues, but working with the companies and...- Private

I bought ET3 as a CD transport and it’s been wonderful as that. Yes, there are bugs and/or some advertised features are not quite there, SRC for one. Changing the display option doesn’t seem like that tall of an order and I believe shanling will get to it. Hope everything else gets sorted...- Private

You need a cable like this, just go to any sound related shop and they can create and properly terminated mini AES with a female output if you don't want to buy it...- Private

Aye, actually I do have the same CD, that’s the early 2000s I mentioned. No problems spinning it. In and out multiple times, and played thru twice last night no skips or errors. You probably have a defective unit, with all the problems you encountered.- Private

I believe I have two copies of this, an early 90's version and one of the early 2000's remasters. I will check. From the label, I don't believe I have the exact release unfortunately.- Private

I'm hoping that these pesky and suprising bugs can be ironed out, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately these days it's expected that something will be buggy or half-there. @gibelio could you let us know what CD's you've had problems playing. I would like to see if they don't play for me...- Private

Looks like that the ET3 in it's ON/CD not spinning state (No SRC) sends out 48kHz` signal which it immediately switches to 44.1kHz when CD play buttons is pressed, this is over AES. Can anyone else confirm this? This happens only when the unit comes out of standby mode. After that, stop button...- Private

Very nice and clean, I posted this in hopes @Shanling would consider it. Larger size option would be great for me, so I did it as big as what could fit horizontally and the last image was like yours. Absolutely would be great to have these color options and simple black background with play...- Private

Yes, Delta-Sigma DACs decode native DSD and R2R DACs decode native PCM but that doesn't mean that every Delta-Sigma DAC has an I2S output. Most of budget and mid budget intergraded amplifiers will have a DS chip but just standard output/inputs. Having said that I am endlessly curious about...- Private

@Shanling May we know what this feedback is? What did they say exactly. I would like a little more insight into this issue. The DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256 set as SRC, seems like a D2P wrapper. You are clearly outputting sample rates of PCM 88.2 for DSD 128 and PCM 176.3 for DSD 256. It's just not...- Private

Originally when I first heard of the ET3 CDT, going to the website I mislead myself a bit, and it was cleared here by @Shanling that the USB does not oversample. Which now kind of confuses me. In the picture you can see that USB output is listed as high resolution player ...32bit/768kHz and...- Private
