    The bass on Aura is much more visceral than on VE Phoenix, which should be similar but without DD.

    If you compare the bass from the Aura with that of the Mentor, you should get closer to the matter. In my opinion.

    You are absolutely right. My point was different: I don't want to imagine that engineers are guided by any belief to make decisions.

    In my opinion, this makes no sense at all from an engineering perspective: This shouldn't be a question of believing or not believing, but rather of knowing or not knowing. If you believe that cables have no effect on the sound, then you should be able to justify this and it has nothing to do...

    It's me on the fourth pic and you are totally right. The Jewel was one of the best for me (thanks to @MatW), next to the Aura (thanks to @Alexzander).

    I've heard the VE10 three weeks ago in Cologne for 30 mins and would agree, that there is more than natural treble energy (compared to also demoed VE 7 and Phoenix, used with Symbio W). I own the Inear Prophile 8.
